Zundapp Ambassador price listOctober 1955 the first Zundapp 200s class was imported into the UK,’Motorcycling’ did the first road test in issue 29th December 1955 below is a reference to those first numbers the concessionaires were Ambassador Motorcycles Ltd Ascot,Berks.The first London dealers were Watkinson Motorcycles,136/8 Stockwell road London S W 9. Selling for £173 12s and road tax was £1 17s 6d. As you can see the 200S was only imported for a year ending with engine/frame number 894597. November 1956 the 201S was imported until August 1958 and ending with engine/frame 898405

The photo below is the oldest 200S(as of October 2019) in the UK with a engine/Frame number of 890967 The early 200S had a few changes from the last 200S’s namely Dynamo cover,footrest,mainstand spring,chaincase,tool box and sidecovers,seat with no alloy trim. The first ones in Germany came with white lining ! but i think all UK imports had gold lining.
